Privacy Notice
A plain-language overview of data used by the BitStay test marketplace.
This notice is a product-testing draft. Company details, lawful bases, retention periods, international transfer terms, and jurisdiction-specific rights require legal review before launch.
Information we collect
BitStay stores account details such as name and email, encrypted password hashes, public wallet addresses you choose to link, property and listing content, saved listings, inquiries, moderation records, basic security logs, and technical information such as IP address.
How we use information
We use information to operate accounts and listings, route inquiries, moderate marketplace content, prevent abuse, maintain security, diagnose failures, communicate about the service, and meet legal obligations. The current release does not collect seed phrases, private keys, card data, or crypto payments.
Visibility and sharing
Published listing content and owner display names are public. Inquiry messages are visible to their sender, listing owner, and authorized administrators. Public wallet addresses are inherently observable on their relevant blockchain. Information may be shared with infrastructure, security, legal, or professional service providers when required to operate or protect the service.
Retention and security
Information is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, dispute handling, security, and legal requirements. BitStay uses access controls, password hashing, encrypted transport, request validation, and protected configuration storage, but no online system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask to access, correct, or delete eligible account information, subject to identity verification and legal exceptions. Public blockchain records cannot be changed by BitStay. Browser settings can control session cookies, although disabling them prevents account sign-in.
