Verify first. Transfer later.
Crypto transfers can be irreversible. Use independent checks, written terms, and licensed professionals before committing funds.
Protect wallet access
BitStay will never ask for a seed phrase, private key, remote device access, or one-time authentication code. Linking a wallet means sharing only its public address. A connected or linked wallet is not proof of identity or ownership unless it carries an explicit verified status.
Verify the property and counterparty
Request current ownership or management authority, compare names across documents, inspect the property or appoint a trusted local professional, and independently confirm contact details. A BitStay listing or badge does not replace legal due diligence, title searches, permits, or local advice.
Confirm payment terms
Agree in writing on the asset, network, exchange rate source, quote expiry, refunds, fees, tax treatment, and the party responsible for conversion. Send a small test transaction when appropriate. Do not transfer to an address changed through an unexpected message without verifying it through a second channel.
Report suspicious activity
Stop communication and preserve messages, wallet addresses, transaction hashes, and documents. Contact support@bitstay.travel. Where money or identity documents are at risk, contact the relevant exchange, wallet provider, financial institution, and local authorities promptly.
